David graduated from the University of the West of England, Bristol in 2002. Having completed the necessary rotations as a junior therapist, he specialised in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2004 within a busy NHS outpatient setting. During this time he also provided hydrotherapy services and led on providing back pain rehabilitation classes.
In 2007 David began work as an advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapist within an NHS orthopaedic assessment and treatment service running full-time spinal and peripheral joint clinics. In this role he began studying postgraduate courses (including Acupuncture, Musculoskeletal Triage and Advanced Musculoskeletal Assessment) at the University of Essex and London South Bank University.
For the last 5 years David has since worked as a musculoskeletal Extended Scope Practitioner (ESP) and has a Postgraduate Certificate in Non-medical Prescribing and is also qualified in soft tissue and joint injection therapy. His ESP role has enabled him to work closely with spinal surgeons, orthopaedic, neurology and pain consultants whilst building further expertise in physiotherapy assessment and treatment.
